The past few weeks have been a bit rough on the sleeping schedule and social life when it comes to work….and I am learning how to “pick and choose my battles.” (Keyword–“learning.”) However, if you know that what you are fighting for what is good and right and true….it will be worth your efforts and sleepless nights.
Today I had a breakthrough with a project. It was an uphill battle that got muddy and rocky and involved a lot of “No’s,” but I knew I was fighting for the right reasons. I knew couldn’t give up on this person. And at 2:07pm, the decision I was tirelessly working for came through in the form of an “That is fine” email. It wasn’t happy, or enthusiastic by any means, but it was exactly what I needed to hear at the time.
So my advice to you today, and always, “Be a person of strength and integrity. If a battle is worth your efforts, and you know that you are dedicating yourself to something good, or sticking up for someone who can’t do it for themselves–don’t stop fighting. Stay strong and keep on pushing. I cannot promise you that you will win, but I can tell you that it will be worth it.”
